This books seems to be really helpful. I had to buy it for a class, but feel I could perform any of these surgeries, okay, maybe not, but it will be helpful, esp if I get a job in the OR!

I got my first “Alexander’s Care of the Patient in Surgery” while I was in nursing school back in the late 80’s. We had a perioperative course in nursing school and the book was an excellent resource. I got myself another edition (1995) after I gave away my older book. I have not checked out the 2006 edition (out of stock in local bookstore). Hopefully, there will be more updates on the new advances in surgical procedures.
