It's a kind of book that everyone that take care of surgery patients must have. Even if you are a medical student, resident or senior. This book is complete and came with some differences compared to the 17th edition.

Unlike voluminous texts like Harrison's, I find this text written in such a fashion that it becomes a chore to read. Given, I am not going into surgery, but any well written textbook should hold someone's interest. I find the book too vague and low yield for medical students and probably too simplistic for surgical residents. Needless to say, I am going to try to sell it before the new edition comes out.

This book is an excellent book to establish a broad fundamental understanding of surgery, but detailed enough to use as reference. Every medical student who plans to pursue a career in a surgical field should read this book prior to graduation from medical school.

This product (Mucinex Max Strength 1,200 mg) does an excellent job reducing the secretion from your chest & lungs. I have been using this item for over three yrs now, since being diagnosed with Bronchiactosis. It has helped me control the clearance in my lunges. However, sometimes you also have to do some chest excersizes so to get it all cleared up.
Ome major drawback of this product is that it ends up being very costly for me, since I have to take two of these tablets a day. So, when I always bought it at my local pharmacey they charge for a box of 14 pieces $16 or a box of 28 for $30 (unless when they have it on sale). That means that it costed me about $1.15 a day. However, now that I started shopping on-line for it, I discovered that I can get the same exact item for about half price. It was especially good that I got it delivered by the US Mail (without any shiping charges, since I ordered more than the min.) literally only two days later. It was a good surprise to me, since the estimated delivery was set for about seven days.

The active ingredient in this medication is Guaifenesin, which loosens phlegm and increases the lubrication of your lungs allowing so your cough is more productive and your bronchial passages stay clear. If you're like me and have lots of bronchial congestion and asthma type symptoms in the spring when there's lots of pollen in the air or if you're just suffering because of a cold, you want something that will work to relieve it without making you jittery like some medications and one that you don't have to worry about taking every 4 or 5 hours. I've had good luck with this one.

I'd tried the regular strength Mucinex, the one in the green box, which contains the ingredients 600 mg Guaifenesin and 30 mg Dextromethorphan HBr when I had one of those coughs that seem to go on forever, one that kept me up at night, due to a cold. It worked well on the cough but wasn't strong enough to keep my lungs clear. I still had that tightness in my chest. This one contains only the Guaifenesin, but it has 1200 mg which is strong enough to do the job. I haven't had a cough since trying it, so I don't know if it would help with that. The instructions say to drink plenty of fluids because it draws liquid into the bronchi. The water both thins mucus and lubricates the airway, facilitating the removal of mucus by coughing. Some people have mentioned their nasal passages or throat feeling dry after taking this medication but I haven't noticed that. Maybe it's because I drink a lot of water. (And Diet Coke) I haven't noticed any side effects after taking it for a few days. The tablets are a little large, probably because they're time released, so if you have a problem swallowing pills, these could be a little difficult. I like that I only have to remember to take them every 12 hours. Actually, the effects seem to last a few hours past that.

I have to take Mucinex every day. It's not covered under my insurance and you can't ever find a coupon for it. So, when I saw the savings I could get through Amazon I ordered 3 bottles. This is a good product and does as it advertises.

Product is quite good to relieve over active mucus discharge as a result of acute broncitus condition.I only use when necessary as an expectorant, when conditions demand.

I found this book to be unreadable. Unless you are a brain doctor, I wouldn't buy it! It says it was written for those in the medical community and those who aren't, but I disagree.
