Be careful, I told my parents to purchase this book for my birthday. Boy was I surprised when I received a 40 year old used pages missing book. My parents were surprised when they received the bill for a new book. So be careful, things are not as safe as they seem.

THIS DICTIONARY WAS OKAY. I BOUGHT IT AS A MEDICAL STUDENT THINKING IT WOULD BE USEFUL, IT WAS NOT. I GUESS IT WOULD BE USEFUL FOR PEOPLE OUT OF THE MEDICAL FIELD WHO WANT TO LOOK SOMETHING UP BUT WAS NOT USEFUL FOR ME.

When I order books for my daughter going to college time is of the essence. I am always excited to find a book provider that gets the product to me on time. I write that down for future reference. I still have one more child to get through college. I need a lot more books.
Sincerely, Jessie

Am in the process of returning the book because it is missing pages 1677 through 1708. The wierd thing is that it doesn’t look like those pages were removed; instead, it appears as if the book was made without the them; the binding looks tight and all. Maybe the book is super rare — like a coin with a minting flaw…. Does anyone else have a copy of the 20th edition with those pages, or others, missing?
PS. The book is absolutely terrific otherwise.

This item took entirely to long to get to me. I ordered this item for school and it didn’t get to me until three weeks after I started the class. I ordered the item a week before classes started and was promised a ship date of a week.
