Received this book as a gift. Felt that the spelling errors were very annoying and detracted from my enjoyment of the book. Some examples:
P.28: 4th paragraph “Loosing weight…”
P.28: 5th paragraph “prevent the loss of muscle by loosing weight” and at end of page under “Key Points for Weight Loss”, it says “Loose .5-1.5 lbs per week”.
P.29: “shift your focus to loosing body fat”.
P.38: “people often starve themselves in order to loose weight”.
P.43: “loosing 15 pounds” and “switch to loosing fat”
P.44: “Loose .5 lbs”
Decided to return the book. Will consider purchasing a subsequent printing once the errors have been corrected.

I received this book just 3 days ago. I have not yet started any of the exercises regimes. The stuff on nutrition is a little sparse and I think some of it is not correct, but I didn’t buy the book to learn about nutrition. Mark does not recommend any equipment in this book except a chinning bar. I think that is too Spartan. I think many of the exercise can be improved with a minimal amount of equipment, such as a jump rope, medicine ball and stability ball.
Pictures are okay, but more time could have been spent on that part of the book(increased cost, I guess).
My general impression thus far is that this will be a very useful tool in structuring more formal workouts than I have done in the past. I like Mark’s approach to bodyweight exercise and I will have more feedback a month or so down the road.
I would recommend this book for beginners(I am one), but cannot say if the exercises would also attract more conditioned athletes than myself.
If you are into bodyweight exercises and calithethics, i would buy this book.

This is an excellent book that provides the right level of information to get yourself on the road to great health. It makes sense and provides a road map for exercising that anyone can afford and follow. As a life long exerciser this book is helping me reach the next level and do it at home with my family. Recommend you chuck the local Gym membership and move to a much better option. The exercises cover all major muscle groups and give you multiple options to always keep it fresh.

I have spent countless dollars buying exercise magazines trying to compile a body weight workout. Needless to say this book would have saved me a lot of time and hassle. This book is absolutely all you need to get into the best shape of your life. It sounds like a big claim but you really don’t need weights or a gym to get cut.

I found these body weight exercise programs great for people who would rather work out at home with a minimum amount of equipment. Also his suggestions on using different types of set and rep combos brought some needed flare to my workouts.
